Did you know that Williams Landing takes its name from the historic aviation base, RAAF Williams airfield, upon which it is located.? Air Marshal Sir Richard Williams, who gave his name to that airfield, was regarded by many as the 'father' of the Royal Australian Air Force. In its 70-year history, Williams airfield was home to many Squadrons and played an important role during WWII.
Today, Williams Landing pays homage to that proud history, with an award-winning development that opens a fresh and exciting chapter for Melbourne's west.
